We set off with one simple, yet amazing goal: Two friends on two motorcycles changing the world through adventure philanthropy as we ride, climb, paraglide and volunteer from the tip of North America to the tip of South America and beyond.
We believe it's imperative to be a net positive in the world, which is why we founded Adventure Philanthropy International and embraced this journey. In committing the next several years of our lives to living on the road, building this organization, participating in our sports and doing the real work of helping others, we hope to create a movement that will make an impact far beyond our own efforts.
Only through collaboration of the entire adventure sports community will a movement of adventure philanthropy succeed. Follow along, get inspired, become empowered, donate, and share this story. We need you. Thanks for helping make this possible.

A vagabond at heart, Matt has spent the last 10 years taking every opportunity to seek adventure. He has hiked on the Great Wall of China, snorkeled at the Great Barrier Reef, climbed the Pyramids of Giza, and wandered in the remains at Machu Pichu. His wanderlust has brought him to 7 different countries on 5 continents, on a solo motorcycle trip across the US, and to Alaska where he worked as a commercial fisherman. Throughout his journeys Matt developed a passion for photography, documenting the landscapes and events that unfolded before him.
In 2006, with a Business degree earned and his camera in hand, Matt decided to turn his passion into a career by starting his own photography business. Today he shoots portraits for individuals and commercial clients as well as outdoor adventure sports such as rock climbing and motorcycling. When he isn't traveling the world or shooting photos, Matt spends his time outdoors camping and participating in the extreme sports he loves to shoot.
Matt's passion for adventure sports, traveling and photography is trumped by only one thing; serving others in need. The creation of Adventure Philanthropy International is a dream come true where he can use all the various experiences and skills he acquired over the years to create positive change in the world. For Matt, ADVphilanthropy is a perfect combination of adventuring in foreign lands, documenting the events along the way, and managing an organization that connects athletes with charities, enabling them to better serve communities in need.
